If prompted while getting a quote you'll be asked a series of questions about your health and any travellers who are listed on the policy, before being asked to declare any relevant medical conditions.

We need to know if anyone to be named on the policy, has ever been diagnosed with or treated for any:

  • cancerous, respiratory, heart or circulatory conditions (including problems with blood flow, strokes, high blood pressure, or high cholesterol)
  • psychological conditions such as stress, anxiety, depression, or eating disorders

We need to know if anyone to be named on the policy has, within the last 2 years been prescribed medication, attended any type of medical facility such as a medical practitioner, or attended a hospital as an out-patient or in-patient.

We also need to know if anyone named on the policy has been currently put on a waiting list for treatment or investigation or been given a terminal prognosis.

Our online medical declaration makes it easy to submit your medical history while maintaining your privacy. And we'll only show you quotes based on the medical conditions you have declared. Your answers are completely confidential, and you only need to fill them out once.

You must inform our support team of any changes in your health. You should contact them directly to discuss this. Not doing so may affect your policy and result in claims being rejected.

Our medical screening system can recognise a variety of names and spellings for most medical conditions - but you will need to enter them individually and select them when they appear beneath the search box. Initially, please try alternative spellings for the condition or type part of the condition name and have a look at the list of conditions that are presented to you.
